For his collection in 2008, Philips has reviewed the design and performance of its TVs. In order, the new models are refined and managers rounded edges. The sound system was corrected and made more discreet. Two mini-speaker type wOOx have been integrated and are responsible for producing deep bass and more efficient than older models. The Full HD 1080p resolution became the standard definition on all screen sizes above 32 inches (1366×768 for the others). The HDMI connection was widespread with the presence of four entries on all models.

Then the Ambilight backlighting system has become widespread over the same range with the presence of the “Spectra” on the models of the series in 9000 (creating a halo sensory-based LED). On the other hand, the response time was reduced (between 2 and 5 ms ms). The dynamic contrasts have also been doped, and video processing Philips Perfect Pixel HD improved. The comfort of the user and image quality should therefore only be better!

Another novelty, but only on the 9000 series, the presence of an Ethernet port to enable televisions to integrate into a home network and direct access to photos, videos and music files stored on your home. The others have to a USB port … Finally, all TVs are equipped with a DVB-T standard. For access to TNT HD, however, it was not until the 2009 collection.

This new line includes ten models, including the 42PFL7603. TVs ranging from 32 inches to 42 should be marketed between March and May. The highlight of the show, a 50-inch would have to happen in September.
